Julia’s Client Reviews

“It was a great class – smaller group, all at the same level, so we could really get what we needed. Julia does a great job giving us the training we need based on the dog’s experience level. Julia is a great Nose Work trainer! She has experience doing the sport with her own dogs and actively works on learning new things.” – Barb H. and their Bulldog, Nigel, reviewing their K9 Nose Work class with Julia Breza

“Copper was such a ‘fraidy cat’ when we started and he was doing so well our last class. I sure wish we could have made the very last class. Rescue Copper needed this class so much. There was so much kindness for my 8 year old rescue. Things were slow for us since he didn’t know other dogs and people. It really was the perfect atmosphere for him.” – Susan S. and her Miniature Schnauzer, Copper, reviewing their Beginning Obedience class with Julia Breza

“Julia was great at keeping the pace of the class at the level of the slowest, but at the same time, kept everyone challenged. Not an easy thing to do! She did a great job at teaching the class, and the class is broken down/organized in a very good stepping stone manner/order. The hand outs each week were great, and tied in with the upcoming class.” – Ron C. with his Doberman, Angel, reviewing their Beginning Obedience class with Julia Breza

“Julia is a great instructor. The initial class filed so she was gracious enough to split the group into 2 classes. The smaller class enabled us to have more time for searches. She really sets the dogs up for success and is fun to work with. Her knowledge of nose work is a big asset to Paws Abilities.” – Denise K. and her Border Collie, Gunner, reviewing their Beginning K9 Nose Work class with Julia

“Julia was patient with all students no matter if they were the 2 legged or the 4 legged. She was quick to respond to when the humans were training properly, and had great tips for where improvement could be made. She was very informative and enthusiastic! You could tell that Julia wanted all her students to succeed and get the most out of the class as they could! She did great at keeping everyone focused in class. Making adjustments for the 4 legged pups that were shy and getting them acclimated to being in class. It was a great beginning class and Julia was amazing!

“This was a great starter class for my puppy. It really helped me realize her potential. Being a vet tech, I knew many of the basic techniques, but it was great to have a trainer reassure the proper technique and to “rid” the training of negative reinforcement that I had been doing. JJ seemed to respond very well not only to training, but to Julia as well. Although JJ was very distracted during class and did not show well how much she had learned, it was great to have her in a situation to train where she was distracted and have trainer available to assist.” -Teresa D. and her Chihuahua JJ, reviewing their Beginning Obedience class with Julia

“Julia was great at understanding that my goals for the class weren’t necessarily to get Gilly to sit, lie down, stay, etc., but were more to give Gilly exposure to other dogs and people. I appreciated Julia’s insights and suggestions and feel we made good progress with Gilly being able to be in closer proximity to the other dogs as time went on. Thanks, Julia!” -Jacque D. and her German Shepherd cross Gilly, reviewing their Beginning Obedience with Julia

“The class plan was great. We had a great time and all of our questions were answered right away in the class. Julia kept the class interesting and moved along ending on time. On a 1 to 10 I give her an 11. Everything was great.” -David J. and his Labrador Retriever Sadie, reviewing their Beginning Obedience class with Julia

“Julia is very in tune to the strengths and areas for growth for both members of the team. She is encouraging, pointing out specific examples of what we’ve done well and gives concrete ideas of how to grow in the sport. I didn’t think I’d enjoy Nose Work with Lumos as I have been training/competing with him in agility for 8 years. I was doing this “for him”–as he has had to retire from agility for health reasons. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching his brain work and seeing how he can problem solve. Thanks so much for this opportunity for both of us.” – Christine E. and her Border Collie, Lumos, reviewing their private K9 Nose Work lesson with Julia

I am looking forward to taking Nose Work from Denise Koster, also! It’s always good to get another person’s feedback and different hides from different hides! Both Denise and Julia are such good examples of Paws Abilities instructors!” – Barb H. and her Bulldog, Nigel, reviewing their K9 Nose Work class with Julia
